Deonar - on Occassion of Bakri Eid or Eid ul zuha/Adha

Just wanted to cover this topic since it is related to bakri eid which will be celebrate by Indians muslim on saturday - Deonar A place located in Mumbai suburbs where every year lakhs of goats are transported from various corners of India like Kashmir, UP, Ahmedabad, Rajasthan etc.

I visited deonar on yesterday, people were packed in purchasing goats on this occassion, roads outside Bazaar was packed with transport vehicles and people holding 3,4 and some holding dozens of goats of different varieties towards the preparation of the festival. More than 2.6 lakhs of goats was transported 2 days before and sellers were ready to move with ordering new lot of animals.

The price range of goat varies from its breed, weigh, looks etc. The base price range for a goat of around 35 kg was in between 10,000 Rs. I even saw animals costing Rs. 2.5 lakhs with the weight of 130 kgs. Although the pricing were high till monday but suddenly i found the price got lowered  because of the heavy rains which did some loss of the seller. the animals which was costing Rs. 25k on Monday was dropped by 17k.

My tip - If you are planning to buy go there and check out the range of goats. Since the supply is high the prices of the goats dropped.

Do check the goat thoroughly before buying - Take a walk to see if the goat is in proper condition - check the teeth

Eid Mubarak

It is a festival week in India after completion of dusshera - Eid ul zuha or Bakri eid which will be celebrated on Friday in countries like Canada, Saudi Arabia and others. Eid Mubarak is trending in India twitter trends although the celebration will be on Saturday.

Eid al-Adha or Eid ul zuha is one of the most important festivals celebrated by Muslims every year worldwide. the festival is to honor the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) - Peace be upon him   to sacrifice his Son Prophet Ismail Ishmael - Peace be upon him as an act of obedience to Allah, Before Allah intervened to provide him with a ram to sacrifice instead.

The word Eid or id derived from the Arabic word "iwd" which means festival and Zuha or from the word Uzhaiyya which means sacrifice. In India Eid ul Adha is normally pronounced as Bakri eid or Bakr eid because of the tradition of sacrificing goat.

Another piece of sad news for Mumbaikars, - Hike in rickshaw fare from today by Rs 3. I was travelling by rickshaw and suddenly the driver said that there is a fare hike of Rs 3 - I told him why did the CNG price got hike - he happily said no sir but the prices of oil and other parts which was costing 100 Rs last year is now increased by 160 Rs.

Daughter of Asha Bhosle committed suicide - Varsha Bhosle

A very sad news trending on twitter Asha Bhosle & Varsha Bhosle - The news is singer Asha Bhosle daugher Varsha Bhosle committed suicide by killing herself with a revolver in south mumbai peddar road.

Varsha was a singer who worked as a playback singer in few Hindi and Marathi movies and also appeared in some of the concerts of Asha Bhosle. She was also worked as a columnist and attempted suicide previously also. 

The body was rushed to JJ hospital for post mortem. She was married to a sports writer and was a divorcee.

Varsha Bhosle was 56 years old, She finished her schooling from Hill Grange High school located at Pedder Road Mumbai in the year 1974. she also studied Political science from Elphistone college.

Work : 

She was a singer who sung for various Hindi and Marathi movies, she also worked as a columnist for Reddiff from the year 1997 till 2003, before this she was working with The sunday observer from the year 1994 till 1998. Apart from this she also worked with Gentleman magazine and wrote for Times of India 

Personal Life : 

She was living with her mother, Asha Bhosle and was married to a sport writer and PR professional Hemant Kenkre, later on the couple got divorced in the year 1998. In September 2009 she attempted suicide by overdosing the sleeping pills. 

Today : 

She shot herself in the head at her residence located in Peddar road - Prabhu Kunj. No suicide note found till now, and she used license weapon
