India celebrated 65 years of freedom yesterday and 5000 people from north east which includes students, left to Bangalore in 2 trains considering the fear of repercussion since tension increasing related to the Assam communal violence. V S D’Souza appointed by Karnataka police confirmed the same on Wednesday.
Special trains were schedule towards Guwahati, SMS messages sent to hundreds of people with the confirmation of the threat – SMS sent suggest that people from north – east communities to leave in 5 days time.
Police officers insured citizens will be protected and request to contact the control room as soon as they find rumors or attacks. V S D’Souza speaking to Hindustan Times said – There is no police intelligence on any Attacks.
“People are fearing repercussion of Assam Violence. We have assured them all action will be taken.”
